Default timing chain dampner LS1

What's the correct p/n for the LS1 chain dampner and how much do they normally run? I have seen places that sell them for $11 and others for $100.

The two dampners they sell are black or tan. We stock both.
Black 12588670 this one has bolt centers about 1.8 inches apart.
Tan 88958607 this one has bolt centers about 2.2 inches apart.
You need to measure your block for bolt pattern then chose the proper part. The tan is around 100.00 dollars, the black is around 10.00.
I measured the different parts with a scale by eye, the numbers will get you close enough to buy the right one.

The tan is one is specifically for the LS1 application which is the $100 unit. The black one is for the LS2. My 98 block had the holes drilled and tapped, so the tan one fit perfect.
Some of the later LS1 blocks had the bosses, but were not drilled. so if that's the case you could probably get away with the black one.
