Will ls6 cam fit stock ls1?

Will ls6 cam fit stock ls1? Well....will it? Or do i need to replace springs, retainers, etc? Basically can I just do a cam swap? I've head the LS6 cam is good for F/I setups.

So if I buy an LS6 camshaft from the forums here, I won't be able to just swap cams, I need springs, retainers, etc? If so, what do I need? Car is an 02 SS A4

Check this How to out. Look at the items needed.

With that cam you will need pushrods, might as well go ahead and get new retainers and locks, gaskets, new balancer bolt, and springs.
