Default Lifters f'ed? could my cam be f'ed to?

i had 2 lifters on the left side that were stuck in the block? my mech said that my Camshaft may very well be messed up to? i have never heard of this and was wondering if it was possible. also i had the cam in sig (112 g5x3, 235 duration and a tick over 600 lift) and if my cam is f'd i might as well go bigger right?

what cam would you guys suggest that would be bigger then this one yet still streetable.

Honestly, the x3 is probably one of the bigger cams to put in a daily driver. You could always do the Trex or something along those lines i guess. How far does the mechanic have your engine torn down? If he has both heads off, and the front of the engine off, it wouldn't be much more work to just pull out the cam to double check to make sure its alright.

Im scared shitless of the same thing happening. What kind of ticking did you have. I have a ticking that comes and goes.... 6 ticks in 15 - 20 second increments.

Don't take any chances because you could be stuck doing more work down the road. Just pull the cam and inspect it. If a cam bearing has started to go bad, you will have metal stuck to the magnet on the drain plug for your oil.

Since you are going to go that far and want a bigger cam anyways, I would just replace the cam with a bigger one. The best way to not worry about the cam is bad or not is to get a new one, you know even if it checks out okay you will still worry about it all the time. If you want BIG I would go with a T-Rex Killer cam, duno the exact spec cause the guy that sells it won't leak the info, but it is very very BIG.
