Default Cartek 2X - Emissions Compliance?

Hey guys,

I've got a line on a Cartek 2X and I like the specs. It looks bit more aggressive than a TR224/114 and has a bit more exhaust duration which should help since I've got a car that is running a TSP 3" catted Y as opposed to an ORY.

Anyhow, do I have a chance in hell of making this cam pass a sniffer? Specs are 224/228 .581/.588 (.590 on the website) on a 113.

It looks awfully close to a TR224 and I know those don't have a problem. I've got tuning software and know how to do a lot of tuning myself. Thus I can bump the idle, maybe run some methanol in the tank and do some other tricks if necessary?

Any first hand experience/advice? Any advice at all?

Thanks a ton guys,

Mat

If you have a good tuner, you can pass almost any test. But looks similar to the TR224 and thats a god cam.

Right on thanks for the recommendation man. Anyone else out there running this cam and had it sneak past a sniffer? I know some of you have little tricks to help the car get through them.

I've got Carsounds on it so from what I hear they are the CAT to go with if you want to try and pass a test. I've heard Random's don't do as well.

Anyhow, anyone else?

Thanks again!
