Default What can I do to get cam to fit?

Just wondering what I could do if I buy a T-Rex cam and it won't fit under my heads (Patriot Stage II)? Is their anything I can do to get the clearance down without any major modifications? I'm gonna call TR today and see what they say but just seeing what you guys think and if you have any different ideas than they might have?

Thicker head gasket/flycutting. The former increases quench and makes it more prone to detonation. The latter is the safest bet.

How safe is flycutting? I've heard of people doing it but not heard of reliability, compression issues, how they liked it, etc.?

Flycutting is perfectly safe if you do it properly. I would assume everyone who has done it has liked it b/c now they can fit their big-*** oversized cam in their engine
