LS6 Pushrods?
Whats the deal with the LS6 is there something different in the heads or is it just the base circle of the cam is different? Because the LS6 has 7.35" versus 7.40" pushrods? So if I go with a 224/228 cam or a GT2-3 cam do I need the 7.40"? I HEARD you needed a longer pushrod for the LS6 cam, but the LS6 has SHORTER pushrods than the LS1 right?

Pushrods are the same as LS1 - 7.4". I believe the 02-04 lS6 has a cam with a smaller base circle so GM compensated by making the valve stems slightly taller. Technically, I believe the LS6 heads with an LS1 cam would need shorter pushrods. Of course, if you use a thinner head gasket than OEM and/or you mill the heads, you're getting close to being right back to LS1 dimentions. In the end it just might be much-a-do about nothing.

7.425 to be exact.
You can run 7.40 but your preload will be looser and your valvetrain a little noisier (with stock rockers).
You can adjust with aftermarket adjustable rockers also.
LS6 valves are 6mm taller.BTW

If you get .58x>.600 lifts I used 7.425 (less noisy)
Both is assuming stock gasket, no mill
