easy question.

i had 3.905 bore i believe (383 kit with a 4 inch stroke)

now its getting rebuilt again and my pistons are f'd so i was thinking about going with a bigger bore and wondering how far i could go?

where should i buy new pistons? (which sponsors?)

as long as you have the ls1 block and not the ls6 block, you can go up to 457 ci, if you resleeve your block. I am building a 455 ci ls1 block now for my 02 ws6. yo will just need to get the block resleeved. If you do that talk to steve are R.E.D.

I just got an Iron block and am going with a 408. I got mine brand new from SDPC, pretty good price and it arrived at my door 2 days after I order it. IMO it's not worth buying a new LS1 block (1000+ bucks), or getting a used one and resleeving it, when you can just get a 600 dollar brand new iron block, run it as a 402 if you don't want to spend money on the bore, or go .030 over and make it a 408. If you're worried about weight, go LS2. Sponsors are selling both iron and alum LS2 40X shortblocks for under 4000 dollars.
