Default LS2 cam in LS1.... can it be done????

I want to put an LS2 cam in my LS1, will it fit? I searched but couldn't find my answer.

why do you want a ls2 cam so badly. why not put in a cheatr cam in or something like that.

The ls2 cam is the same as the 01 z06 cam...not a very aggresive cam. I think it would work though.

Physical size is the same. The LS2 cam sync pulse is on the timing gear, so the cam may not have the sync pulse machined in the back for the LS1 block. If the sync pulse is there it will work.

I don't think it is.

The LS2 heads are the Z06 heads.

If the cam was the same, I think it'd make more than 400hp, considering the extra cubic inches.

I think the cam is like 205/232 or something ridiculous like that. I'm too lazy to look it up.

But, unless it's free, why bother all the labor?

I do not have the specs in front of me but the 01 cam made 385 hp and the 02 cam made 405 hp. The ls2 has more cubic inches and I believe higher comp.
