Default What CAM do you use with Nitrous?

I am curious what cams you all are using in comination with nitrous? What size cam, how much/type of nitrous? If you have a built motor including heads/block/transmission, list that too.

I'm getting ready to buy MYSELF some Christmas presents soon, including LT's, a clutch, and a nitrous/cam combo, so I'm looking for some input.

Thanks

Searching yields the following answer

It's not wise to pick out a nitrous specific cam unless you are planning to squeeze 200 or more.

So how much nitrous are you realistically going to run?

if you're going to run 150 or less, may as well get a cam that's better siuted for your all around driving pleasure, rather than an extra 5 hp at the cost of ruining driveability

Yup, exactly what he said, but if your specifically looking for a good nitrous cam id go with the g5x3, everyone who goes with a big cam and chooses the g5x3 seems to love it.

Same as they said, only go with the nitrous cam if you’re running a big shot. Making the car run it's best N/A then adding the nitrous works best for a street/strip car. I can recommend a shelf cam for you or do a custom grind based on the combination your putting together. Be happy to help. Check us out at www.PortPros.com

I am not looking to go any bigger than 125/150 shot (of course I say that now) but I'm looking to make this car as streetable as possible.

Searching did help a bit, but there wasn't a thread that really was dedicated to the topic.. I guess I see why now being that its such a general question.

I'd love to see 500rwhp at the strip, w/ the cam/n2o combo, 125 via NX MAF kit and something like a 224/230 or 224/228 cam, but wasn't really sure if there was a magic pair.

Choose the cam for your NA goals first and foremost. If you are torn between a cam with an LSA of 112 or 114, choose the wider LSA cam. The earlier exhaust opening point and reduced overlap are plusses when running on the spray.
