Default which pushrods?

well i figure i might aswell take the heads off and check the pushrods here soon, so i am wondering is it a better idea to stick with new stock pushrods or go with hardened pushrods? i heard its not good to run hardened ones without better rockers and springs is this true??

Ya ain't got to take the heads off to check pushrods! Lifters yes if ya motor isn't stock ya need hardened ones. They are fine with stock rockers!Ya only have to remove the valvecovers & rockers to check pushrods though!Sometimes its better to bend a pushrod than something else! If ya put hardened push rods in ya better have some killer valvesprings!

I PROMISE you that you don't need to pull the heads to check your pushrods If you are going to go to the trouble of pulling the valve covers and rockers (not the heads) to check the pushrods, go aheads and spend $100 and replace them with hardened ones, they won't cause you any trouble with the stock springs and such.

Valve float is usually what bends the P-rods! So if ya put a better spring on if ya going to keep the stock cam awhile! You can put hardened ones on but not really needed at the moment unless ya get some stiffA$$ springs and a bigger cam!Just my thoughts!
