Default Which intake??? GTP stg2 heads/tsp 231/237 cam

Which intake??? GTP stg2 heads/tsp 231/237 cam/full bolt ons/ls6 shortblock

i have a good chance at a fast 78mm, but i hear there isnt that much of a difference over an ls6 intake. should i spend the extra money on the fast or should i just buy a ls6 or save up for the 90? also if i went with the fast 78mm would a stock ported tb be sufficient?

thanks alot
kyle

FAST 90mm is what you need.

My ol' setup gained 35rwhp going from LS6 intake + SLP LT's to a FAST 90/90 + QTP HVMC LT's. It was a stock cube heads/cam setup like yours (TEA 1.5 5.3's & TSP 231/237).

FAST claims there product will bring 10hp more than the LS6 and 15 more than the LS1. Now I assume they are talking about the 76mm intake. You can't compare a 90mm intake against the factory ones! That would be like comparing a 346ci motor against a 383ci........

I'd call them and talk to them about what your trying to achieve (HP range) and they should tell you what you'll need.

Go with the FAST 90mm intake, no questions asked. It doesn't matter what you do, you will always see the most hp out of that intake. Especially with that larger cam you have, its going to want to breathe more, even more so at higher rpms.

Go with the FAST 90 intake/NW 90 throttlebody, and I guarantee you, you'll be much happier then if you limited yourself with the 78mm. Besides, you want your heads to be fully utilized don't you? The Fast 90mm intake will get you there.

Regards,
Adrian

LS6 intake + SLP LT's vs. FAST90 + QTP HVMC LT's

The car was tuned a lil more and made 460rwhp. The same cam was then reinstalled (degreed), the plugs were changed, and further tuning put down 480rwhp. It would not have made those numbers on the ls6 intake.
