Default manditory ticker after springs??

I was hoping I wouldnt have a ticker motor after the comp 918's but looks(sounds) like I do, I did the 918's and chromoly pushrods @ stock lenth, 22ft lbs on rocker bolts, rotated, then rechecked, all was good, rockers lined up center on valve stem, pushrods are seated in lifters properly, the only thing I'm thinking is that the rocker bolts need to be @ 22ft lbs when valves are closed, does everybody do them 1 bank at a time? or just #'s 1,6,ect... (I forget the order right now) then rotate?? car has been running great, idle is fine, just that damn sound seems like its only a couple that are making noise.. whats some of your experiences

Mine has the sewing machine sound and I'm on my second set of 918's. It's really not that noticable on mine though, only when standing right next to the rear view mirror on either side. I've come to accept it since I have not noticed any ill effects when I've torn into her.

the ls1 is known for its noisy valvetrain, on the rocker arms all you have to do is torque and your done. gotta love it.

What kind of cam do you have? Agressive ramp rates or no? Do you still have stock heads?

Well stronger springs will slam the valves harder. So an increased amount of ticking is noticed.
