Bo White and other DIY porters???
My GTO has a 214-222 559-566 115+4
Its got all the boltons and a 3000 stall,Its tuned too..
Now I was told a 205 runner with good flow # would compliment this setup but I was thinking about a LS2 or perhaps real LS6 heads with the LW valves...No porting at all,I would just deck them to 62CC,run a .047 MLS gasket and do a back cut on the valves..
Do u think this would work..
I'd go from 10.1CR to 11.1CR and have a 218CC Runnered head that should flow alittle better CFM than a standard Z06 casting (Maybe 270ish with the backcut)
My shift point it 6500 so I know this head should work,U porters out there please tell me what u think about this idea...I could do this for under 1000 with machine work...(700 for 243 castings and about 200 for milling, backcut and spring height setup)Plus I can sell my 241's for 200 too or do u think I can use the 241 instead of the LS2 castings and do the same thing to them?

I don't see anything really wrong with your idea at all. I just wanted to throw out another option.
You can get new LW Z06 valves for $200
and a set of 6.0 liter heads for $200
Then spend a little more for a good angle milling (done right) to get your compression.
Angle milling in itself can pick up flow especially if you adjust the intake port entrance and the exhaust exit to match. Just make sure the head bolt holes & pads get re-straightened.

I would get the 243s and mill em .030", back cut the intake valves only, have the machine shop deshroud the chambers to the gasket line and put em on . Sell the 241s like you said and you will probably gain pretty good doin it this way(biggest bang for the buck IMO).

What would u charge me to do this Bo
Doesnt sound too intailed and I can wait if it takes a few months..
I can send u a set of 243's....
Two more question,Which ones?
Z06 243's with LW valves or just the LS2 243 with standard valves are good?
And could I do the same thing to my 241's or is this a waste..
I heard the late 241 castings flow amazing numbers (03/04 Castings)

Where can you get the valves for this price, when I checked they were over $700 from a discount GM vendor.
