Default OK bear with me...

I work for a Chevrolet dealership in the parts dept. We deal with GM Performance Parts and a little aftermarket parts.

I have a customer with a 2000 SS. He called and wanted + 0.030" pistons, I asked if he was sure he could overbore the block (verified it's an aluminum LS1), and he said that a local machine shop said they have done this "at least a dozen times".

Before I throw , at this shop, I just wanted to triple verify with the experts.

I can' t throw at my customer because he spends lots of money at the dealership, and I think he just doesn't know any better.

Thanks

Sounds like the shop needs to get their crap together.

Maybe that shop is drumming up repeat business with their customers blowing up their engines.
