Default 2000+ WS6 or LS1 FD RX7?

Ok, well I have something I need to figure out.

I had a Mazda RX-8 and I loved the looks and everything about this car, but it just didn't have the torque/power I was looking for.

So lately I've been looking at an rx-7 but the rotary in these engines are not reliable once you start modding them. I was about set on getting an WS6 until I heard about the LS1 swap into the rx7.

I've recently found one in my area with the swap already done. A 2001 LS1 with T56 transmition. Putting around 313rwhp stock in a 2890lbs car. Now I absolutly love the looks of the 7, but this car is going to need some work on it. I was wondering what the best choice would be?

The car will be used as a daily driver, need good mpg but have the power. Only downfall with the LS1 FD, is that if I want to do mods like exhaust or anything, it all has to be customly made which could be better or not. I love the looks of the 7, and the sound of LS1 so this is a perfect mix, but needing to pay an extra $2-$300 to "pass" smog is really not very appealing to me. Yet, the power in that light of a car is. The exterior of the car looks good, the interior is going to need some work, basic ware and tear of a 10-13 year old car.

I would go for the FD, and I really really love WS6's.
