sounds like a diesel under light trottle 2000 camaro its got a 383 the magic stick cam afr 205 heads. with this new moter under light trottle its got a diesel sound never sounded like that with the stock engin and afr heads the only thing i changed was the cubic inches and the cam could the cam be 2 big for the springs it only makes the noise under very light trottle .the hole valve train seems 2 make more noise with the new moter .oh yea i put new lifters in 2. idont know what kind of springs they r what ever comes on the afr heads

Power output and tune at WOT has no bearing on part throttle tune. Unless it was tuned on an eddy current dyno or tuned on the road, I highly doubt the part throttle tune is correct. This could result in pinging at part throttle. It would sound kind of like marbles in a can shaken up. Have you scanned it while driving? Any KR?
