Default Go with stock lenght pushrods?

Well I just bent a pushrod so I've got to buy some hardend ones. I will be putting in the asa hotcam 226/236 .525 110 with 918's and 1.85 rockers. Question-do I go with 7.400 or a different size? Also can I limp around by taking out the pushrod on the intake valve or will that ruin my lifter?
Thanks
Steve
