Need Help after cam swap!
I just swapped cams in my truck, I have a 6.0 with .025 off the heads with 2.02 1.57 valves, I went from a 216/220 cam with 555/563 lift to a 220/224 with 581/581 lift. I turned the motor over by hand several times after the new cam was installed and it felt fine. Now it started rite up sounded good, then started a crazy valvetrain noise. Could the lifters have pumped up and are causing problems? I switched back to the stock rockers with this cam from HS. Is this the noise I am hearing?

your valves arent hitting the psitons are they??? Did you check PTV clearance?? Does it sound like a diesel engine running, tapping/clicking or is it that "sewing machine" sound?

Yeah, out of the things I have done 2 cam swaps, swapping heads, I have never heard this kind of noise. I went form a 1.8 Harland Sharp rocker back to the stock rocker and a Comp XER lobe cam, so I figured it would make some noise just not like it did.
