Default Valve seat question

While installing new springs, I noticed I have a small nick on the inside angle of one of the intake valve seats. The valve seems to seat OK. Is this a problem that needs to be addressed?

I mean as far as running the valve seat with a nick in it. Will it seal OK? The nick on the angle that is closer to the intake bowl. The outer angle on the seat nearest the combustion chamber is OK. I don't know whether or not I am explaining it right.

I'm not referring to the pushrod seating in the lifter. I'm talking about where the valve seats in the head.

Here is a picture of it. If you look at about 7 o'clock you will see two dots. The one in the foreground is just a reflection or something, it is the small nick behind that. I know it's not a great picture, but you get the idea. It looks worse in the picture than it is but you can feel it with your fingernail.

Should I get some lapping paste and try to smooth it out with the valve?

If it's not on the 46* cut then don't worry about it.
If it is on the 46, then take it to a machine shop and have it re-touched.

How deep is it? If it is a nick that cannot be lapped out, then you will need to have it machined. If it is a minor scratch, lapping may take care of it. Hard to tell from the photo.
