Default Cam question, I know not another one

Hi,
Ive searched and have not been able to really get my question answered.

I have a cam 232/236 595/602 114

What Im wondering is how liveable is this cam? I am looking for something that will have a decent idle, be able to be driven around easily, cold start etc.

Now that I look at it this cam seems a lil big to me, but I was wondering if someone with a similiar cam could lend me some information.

Also does anyone have a vid of something similiar?
Thanks in advance
ed

I wanted something similar, but my speed shop guru talked me into a 224/234, 581/589. He said anything bigger might get into piston to valve clearance problems. Although it's no big deal to notch pistons, I didn't want to deal with it. Besids, he said the cam would,be a good match for my heads/intake. Valvetrain component selection is not for the novice, which is why I sought out professional advice.

No need to "Plan" on a tune, it has to be done... Period.

I have almost the same cam in my Z06, along with ported, milled, big valve heads and all the other associated bolt-ons. No driveability issues, cold start issues, and it idles somewhat lopey at 950-1000 rpm. If you are using stock unmilled heads, you shouldn't have any PTV issues, but check clearances anyway. I did fly-cut my pistons because my heads are angle milled and have larger than stock valves. By today's standards this is a mid sized cam, but all-in-all a pretty potent one that pulls like crazy from 3000-6800 rpm and produces a very flat, usuable torque curve which makes for alot of fun driving on the track and the street. Go for it, you won't be sorry.
There is a couple of short video clips of mine on LS1sounds.com, look for "ZO6/Dynatech LT's, GHL Catback" HTH Oh, and I better add that tuning with a cam of this size is critical for driveability. You want to make sure that whoever tunes it knows what they are doing with LS1 edit or HPTuners.

well a tune is definatly planned, the 5.3's are not milled, and I plan to have larger valves put in
