Default x4 vs t rex

last week i talked to a guy at lg motorsports and he told me the x4 cam they carry is bigger than the t rex ! i didnot think that was true but was trying to get info. he did also say the x4 would not clear stock pistons without fly cutting. i looked at thunder racing and they say there cam clears stock piston. may be he is right just trying to get moe info.

...well, the X3 will fit on unmilled stock heads, as does the T-Rex. And since LG keeps their durations a "secret" it is hard to say whether or not it is actually "bigger". It probably just has more overlap* than the t-rex therefore the valvetrain events will be different.

The T rex is bigger and they both fit without fly cutting. but you should check p-v clearence with any big cam.

the x4 should not require fly cutting. The car I tuned with it had stock heads, valves, pistons ect.

I was very impressed with this cam. Be prepared to spin the motor quite high though.

I have a good idea of X4 specs. It seems to be much smaller that the Trex. Maybe he was talking about a X5. I've heard there might be an X5 comming out?
