Anyone ever use Absolute Speed 5.3 stage 2 heads.
Just purchased a new set of Absolute Speed stage 2 5.3 heads worked over by Jay. Got them from Jason over at thunder. Don't have any flow numbers. I will be using a comp 224/228 581/588 on a 112 cam with all the bolt ons on my c5. Just curious how much power these heads will make if anyone has had any previous experience with them.

If they're anyhting like what Jay used to spit out, you have some fine heads.
Get a cam that will take you into the .600 range, or at least .598ish to take advantage of what those heads have to offer.

I guess they had them over at Thunder Racing laying around new in box. Bought them today for 800.00.
From the for sale forum:
I'm cleaning up some room at the shop, so these heads have to go:
1) Absolute Speed stage 2 heads :
* 5.3l truck heads
* 2.02"/1.57" valves
* Crane dual springs w/ Ti. retainers
* milled .010"
* brand new, in box
$800.00 + shipping

I got lucky with a set. Very nice set of heads. Jay's told me to keep the lift under .600 for best results. They flowed about 306 @ .6.
The chambers are modified a bit so the compression is around the 10.8 mark I believe (with no milling).

JF is correct. ITs too bad too because at the time his heads were some of the best around and thats why so many people ended up sending him there money. I bought my latest AS heads from a friend used. If you can get a good deal on a used set they are definitly a good investment.
