Hey guys what is the highest lift you can go b4 you have 2 fly cut the pistons? ls1 or 6

Lifts have little to do when it comes to PTV.
It is durations and VEs (valve events, IVO,IVC,EVO,EVC) that you have to watch for.

He's talking about cam timing. The duration, LSA, and ICL play the most critical part of when the cam may hit the piston. It's not how far you open the valve (lift), but how long the valve stays in that position. (duration) If you have a valve that lifts to .700 lift when the piston is at BDC, it'll be fine, unless the duration is long enough to hold the valve open until the piston can come back up and hit it. So, diffrent things can contribute to wether a cam will make contact or not. There is no magical lift number to determine max P/V. A better way to go about this, is to post the specs of the cam you want and ask if it will fit or not. There;s a good chance someone on here has a cam that is the same or very similar that can help you out.
