Default Differences between F13 cam and TR224/224

I am adding a cam next spring on my DD '00 TA and from searching it seems that both of these cams would be good for my M6. I have stock gears. I get great gas mileage by shifting before 2000 RPMS, and only really get on it every once in awhile. I would like some serious gains though when I get on it if I'm racing someone. Which cam is a better choice? Does one produce better numbers across the curve as opposed to just up top on a dyno? I am going to have it tuned at Rapid in PA. Any other suggestions besides these 2?

F13 Will give you more up top without sacrficing too much down low. That's the beauty of that cam, plus it's very driveable.
TR224 is a great benchmark, but will give up anywhere from 5-20 peak hp to the F13 depending on application. It's still a great cam with one of the best usable power bands available.

And kiss your MPG good bye because you won't be able to resist getting on the gas.

2000rpm shifts? That's ls1 heresy!

A lot of people go with the TR224 because it's emissions friendly. I haven't seen anyone with an F13 say they've passed with it.

Anyone have a F13 and have passed emissions? It would be really good to know either way...

If emissions wasn't a concern, I'd go with the F13.

TR224 on a 114 would pass. I'm not sure about a 112 though.

^ Isn't it just a OBDII scan? If it's not throwing codes, you're good to stuff any cam in there I would think.

I've had both cams, and honestly, I can't feel much of a difference in power, drivability, or mpg. Go with the F13 because if you go with the TR224, you'll always wonder what if...

What's the diff. in TQ between the 2? And where at in the power band? I am going to have a baseline dyno on the 28th. Last dyno WO headers I hit 332 HP & 340 TQ, but that was with stock manifolds, cats, and an open cutout. I am now running Pacesetter LT, ORY, andf Hooker CB.
Does one add more TQ then the other? Seems like the F13 beats the TR224 in hp, but at higher up RPMS.

Pretty much all larger cams that beat the TR224 in hp, do so in higher RPM's.

But it's those higher RPM's that win races at the track.
For a stoplight duel on street tires, TR224 is champ.

Do a search in the dyno section for graphs of both and compare them. There's plenty of info.
