valley cover??

valley cover?? ok i have taken off the cover and now im confused. is the sensor on top of the valley cover or under it on the block or both. do i need to remove the part on the block and if so how do i do that.

There are two knock sensors under the valley cover. They thread into the block. In effect, these sensors are microphones that are tuned to "listen" for knock/detonation. Why did you remove the valley cover in the first place?
