Default bare Dart Heads

i am fixing to order a set of Dart 225 ls1 heads bare and was wondering if the patriot dual springs will work with these heads without any machine work, also where can i buy the valves to fit the dart heads 2.05/1.60. i was going to order the assembled heads and just use patriots springs but i think it will be cheaper to buy them bare then install the valves and patriot dual springs. i plan on hand finishing them before putting them on hte car. thanks for your help.

One thing I am not sure how you will take care of, the heads are cut with a 3 angle on the exhaust and 5 angle on the intake so you will need to get the valves turned to correctly match the heads. I think by not getting the assembled head you may miss out on some of the features of the head. What you might consider is the assembled head, and then swap the springs out later on down the road if you really want the duals. The other thing you will miss is the valve seal/seats. They are the updated ones that came with 02 and later heads. Just things to think about I guess.

Good luck with your decision.

Plus the springs on the assembled heads are better than the Patriot Duals.

ok thanks guys i am going with a t-rex style cam 242/610 248/615 110lsa custom grind cam so thats why i was wanting a dual spring setup. i mean do you guys think i can use the dart springs for this kind of cam. i read the springs are good up to .625 but i don't know if i trust a single spring for this much lift. thanks again guys.

I would step up to a dual with that much lift on the cam. Get an assembled head and sell the springs it comes with if need be.
