pistons
Most of the piston manufacturers have the valve positioning for our heads. The 215 all the way through the 265 ALL have the same valve locations. there is nothing different about the 265. It takes a very small chamber and a pretty big camshaft to even have P To V issues. the valves are very close to the edge of the valve relief towards the center of the piston with a standard 15 degree valve notch. If someone were building an engine with 15 degree pistons and have a clearance issue, they can just move the notch over about .060 of an inch. It does not require a special piston. Jason, the reason you have been waiting is because of a dometop (i believe, that is what brian at weisco told me), that could be avoided by milling the heads.
Don't let the 11 degree thing scare you guys, they only need a custom piston in an exteme condition, at that point you would be making pistons anyhow. All the modifications that would have to be made are very simple if you have a very radical CR or camshaft. We have seen very few people who have even needed to clearance pistons. We do have a cylinder head out there that people are using with the Isky tool and making notches that way.

If you know of a quicker way for Erik to get me some pistons, please let him know. I've been waiting for A WHILE! Also, if the valve locations are all the same on the 11* heads, why the custom rockers on the 265's? Something is obviouslly offset, but I guess I'm not thinking about something.
I guess I was 180 degrees off. I know Weisco was getting info from someone else, but we also sent them a head section a long time ago. what happened from there, I wonder.
The offset is on the pushrod in the 265. we moved it away from the port to get a straighter shot down the port.
