Default Since I can't seem to get my cam from Futral...

I'd like to get something as close to the F11 113 +3 that I ordered from Futral but can't seem to get...story here...

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...0&page=1&pp=10

I researched the **** out of cams and decided on that grind. Since I'm having problems with them I'd like to get something as close to it as far as driveability, power, torque and rpm range are concerned from another company. Any suggestions?

Please leave the comments about Futral out of this thread. I'm ready to put them behind me and move on to someone that can get a cam with the F11 characteristics to me before our racing weather down here turns to ****.

im waiting for my F10 from them, also my ported ls6 oil pump, pushrods, and cam swap kit.... everything was ordered 2 weeks before christmas... I had no idea they were closed for the holidays, some days nobody picked up the phone at all. they were very nice to me on the phone every time i got in touch with them. theyre good guys down there i know that much. but i'm a little unhappy with the service as well. for one week straight all they had to do was pick my cam up from the machine shop. finally it got in. about 2/3 days ago i found out but allan had gone home for the day. then tried again the next day and allan wasn't in that day either. so i really hope my stuff is being shipped already b/c my engine is apart and waitin for it. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c3...1/IMG_0532.jpg

I do plan on ordering the F11 228/230 112LSA later this year for a Fall install, and have heard nothing but positive things, so not sure what is happening.

Did you call Allan back? I have always had good relationships with them

Comp Cams and other companies could custom grind a cam to the specs you want, but if you can at all wait for a FMS cam try to,they make great power under the curve(ps I have seen your thread in sponcer feedback and you have the right to be upset) best of luck to you.

Going in the wrong direction already. The full story between me and Futral is in the Sponsor feedback section. Don't want to re-hash it here. Looking for cam feedback only.

How do the Vinci 060 and Comp XR281HR compare to the F11?

Get something a little more wicked. Have Thunder Racing grind you a similar cam with LSK lobes. You'd have a 227/231 .639/.643 113LSA +3 cam. LSK lobes give you LOTs more duration at .200" lift compared to the Cam Motion lobes in the F11 or the Comp XE-R lobes. Or you could just get a TRak cam like the one in my signature. Makes good power for me!

I only have a couple thousand miles on my 918 springs and would like to just swap out cams. Promised my wife I wouldn't ever do another in car valve spring change on a F-Body..first one almost ended our marriage..lol .. so I'm trying to stay with the 918's and under .600 lift.

Don't know much about the LSK lobes and the search isn't much help these days. Tell me about them. How tough are they on the valvetrain? Sewing machine noise?

Would this cam work with 918's?

No 918's are only good up to 6.00 I believe, but I'll have to check the specs off Comp Cams webpage!

Although COMP literature says the 918s are only good to .600 lift, they'll actually handle more. But with LSK lobes, you'll need something a little more stout. Like PP/PRC/Manley duals shimmed to within .050" of coil bind.

COMP XE-R lobes will work OK with 918s and are very similar to Cam Motion lobes that FMS uses.

Futrals foward split cams go reverse split at .200. You can't get that with a XE-R.

Call Cam Motion directly, have them grind you a cam.

Can I get that if I order from Cam Motion directly?

Are the LSK lobes more aggressive than the XE-R's?

If I went with LME or to Cam Motion directly would it have the same characteristics as a Futral cam. Usually that's not the case, but would it be close?

Well yours is on custom LSA & advance so the VE's will change. I've not heard that Futral has proprietary lobes with Cam Motion, so I would assume yes.

I've recently used the Cam Motion online cam request form. In 48 hours, a cam tailored for me was ready to grind. They provided .050 duration, lift, lsa and icl. I didn't inquire about any other figures, but definately would upon time of purchase.

LSK lobes are less aggressive than XER from .006 to .050, then they kick in and become more aggressive.
