LS1 LS2 LS6 cam comparisons
Does anyone know if the newer GTO (2004) cam is equilivant to a regular LS1 cam or a LS2 cam or a LS6 cam? What is the difference between these cams anyways? I am looking for a forced induction cam and have heard that the LS6 seems to be pretty good. Also do you have to use slightly longer pushrods for the LS6 cam, like 7.45? What about the LS2 cam? Let me know, Thanks!

the factory gTo is the same as the f-body cam. the ls6 is a little bit taller in lift.
Ls-1 198/198 496/496 i think don't take it to heart.
Ls-6 204/218 551/547 117.5 LSA < EXACT #'S

Do you know anything about the pushrod length? Also why would the LS6 be so good for a forced induction application? Usually I see turbo cams with longer duration on the intake then the exhaust. This cam seems to be the opposite, like maybe a nitrous cam. Thanks!

The ls6 cam has a smaller base circle and it would be 'optimal' to run longer pushrods, but there are many people who run the ls6 cam with thier stock pushrods and don't report any excessive valvetrain noise.
