Default SUPRSLO NCV.1 Is In, video link to follow

We finally got this 01 z06 wrapped up and still doing some speed density tuning (HUGE THANKS TO DIRK FOR THE TIP ON THE ETC A/F TABLE AND OTHER SUGGESTIONS) on this car. I have to say me likey so far and so does the customer. I will be sure to post a video up here shortly as soon as I can creep away from the office. For what it's worth the thing feels almost identical to my dad's 06 z06.

Mods: NCV.1 Cam (yes, it's a stupidslo grind ), 30 pound SVO injectors, ATI Ballancer, un touched fast 90 with lg 90 ls2 throttle body, lg motorsports 1.75 headers, borla 3" stinger exaust, vararam intake, b&m shifter, spec 3 clutch. Still stock gears with the nitto r2 rears and 555r fronts (r2s are the same as the drag radial but have a much stiffer side wall for road racing). Still on stock heads as well, albeit 01 z06 heads.

P.S. Always check p/v clearence, comp put too much advance in this cam from what was ordered. Stay tuned for link to video.

P.P.S. My lifters are supposed to be to HPE today or tomorow so hopefully the next video will be of my ride!

Gonna dyno soon I hope. Still working out some bucking issues with it and idle transitions bit man, it certainly screams. doesn't feel much different at wot from pop's 06 z06. Specs are 239/242 at .050" .651/.613 on a 110lsa.

What's the reason for the ridiculous lift on the intake side and low (or, closer to average i should say) on the exhaust side?

Dwell time at highest flow points. Remember, just cause your heads peak at a certain lift doesn't mean you should necessarily stop your gross valve lift there. Things like deflection also come into play as well. If you pick up the latest Engine Masters you'll notice that they indicate the 65% of your lift is the most important part of the cylinder head. 65% of .651 is still only .423". Now all this is ofcourse dependent on no huge stall points at higher lift but since only probably around .630 net lift or less is seen at the valve I don't think these ls6 heads with the fast 90 will have any problem up there.

Edit: Forgot to address exhaust question. It seems most of the exhaust removal occurs during the first opening of the exhaust valve so I don't see the reason to open it real high, nor has anyone for quite sometime now. I think it's good to open the exhaust valve quickly if you can delay the opening to both gain some more BMEP at the bottom of the power stroke and also avoid pumping losses by giving adequate time for exhaust removal.

These are just my thoughts, we'll see how it does on the dyno and track
