Default Anyone using a Patriot cam?

Either the 226/226 or 232/230....they seem like a great price, I'm trying decide if I want one of the two. Speak up if you've got one!

Link -> http://sites.reachtheworld.tv/waterN...07473&DID=1225

I'm guessing the 232/230 makes great all-around hp/tq but is a pain to tune with the 110 lobe sep....the 226/226 on a 112 should drive nicely.

I've ran both those cams, I LOVE the 226 cam. I haven't been too impressed with the 232/230 cam.

Very good info, thank you. Can you give me more specifics on the 226 cam? I was leaning towards that one anyway. What combo did you run it with? Why aren't others using it (at least it doesn't seem that way from a search I did)?

I like that 226° cam also. Give it to me on a 111° LSA + 3° (108° IC) .
Should make hella torque and decent power also .

Outstanding 112° + 4°?? Would that put the intake valve closing at or near 65° ABDC? When I plugged the 111° + 3° into the rough valve events calculator I got @66 or 66.5° ABDC I think. I will play with it tonight when I get home.

I want to know also on the 226. I'm thinking of adding a slp lid, patroit cam kit,stainless works headers and y pipe, and a ls6 intake with a ported throttle body. So I would like to know about the cam also before I purchase the cam

I have not seen a cam and spring package at Patriot's web site. I also don't see pushrods listed. I guess buy the cam and springs from Patriot, and then get pushrods, lifters, gaskets from another sponsor .
Did anyone get an exact LSA and ICL for the 226° cam?

The patriot 226 lists a 112 LSA on their website, don't know about the ICL though.

Still wondering why they are so much cheaper

I have no idea.
PP have cheeper prices then pretty much everyone.
They buy in very large quanitys so maybe they just pass the saving on to us.

OR, they just might gring their own cams in shop and therefore there is no middle man.
