what kind of gasket do you plan on running? that will affect compression as well.

Hi there are several variables that will affect Compression, gasket thickness, pistons dome or dish, chamber cc, deck hight, head milling, bore and stroke. I have done a 408 stroker so all things being equal using 64cc LS6 heads and MLS gasket 0.055 you would need -11cc dish type pistons to end up with 10.5:1 now using 71cc LQ9 heads same set up you would need -4cc pistons. the question is how would the two pistons compare for quench and combustion.
My thoughts may be other can answer on quench and combustion. ???
cheers
