Default ATI pulley problem!!! help

Im tring to pull my ATI harmonic balancer off and that bitch is frozen on there... the motor is on a stand and im tring to tear it apart... if it makes a difference its the pully that doenst have a/c any suggestions?

it will come off you just need to put some more muscle on it.

BTW they make a pulley without the grooves for the a/c belt? got any pics or a link?

its been soaking in PB blaster for two days now... yes the crank bolt is out and i have a socket agianst the crank... im actually starting to bed the puller.... i have a 2 foot cheater pipe on the ratchet tring to pop it looses... and i really dont want to put heat to it either

Ahh that SUX its only 10% underdrive. i would jump on it if it were the same 25% as my ASP pulley.

Have you contacted ATI?

What were the measured interference values prior to installation?

ATI instructions state that the interference must be 0.0007 to 0.0009" for correct interference and that you should also use a little anti-seize on the crank snout when you install. If the interference is not within this range, the hub must be honed to obtain the correct interference so your pre-installation values are critical to figuring out how to get it off.

No, i havnt contaced ATI yet... But the motor was built by a a well known sponsor on this board. He does great work i dout he over looked it... Im just in a pickle right now

If there are no visible signs of corrosion, then the interference fit may be too tight. You may have no choice but to use some heat. Do you have a heat gun?
