Default started head/cam swap

finally started my swap, got my heads/cam and everything in between left. so far it has not been as bad as I thought it would, just takes time that all. here r some pics.

Yeah, I had some 'fun' disassembling mine too. By when I started putting everyting back together that's when I went through a whole different set of emotions- like, stress, anger, fear...

What cam are you throwing in? and are you changing lifters??

Comp Cam 231/237 .589/.595 lsa112+4.
new lifters r Comp Cam 850-16.

pulled heads/cam today. need to remove oil pump. any suggestions on how to remove it? I have done some research, but just wanted some feed back on those of you that have actually r/r it.

Basically it was not that bad, I mean it sucked...but very doable.

well got head/cam out, no problems just a minor set back, dropped lifter cradle bolt in cam journal. did get it out w/ finger magnet. installed cam/chain. anybody know where I can find how to port oil pump? I think I have read it hear, some where. problems w/ search here. heres some pics.

finally got cam/chain/oil pump bolted, also cover and oil pan bolted, checked ptv clearance and that too checked good so next is my heads. cant wait to get her started.

well did get it done, had a detour to attend. well I had it dyno'd this past friday and it made 417 rwhp, 390 rwtq. sounds
