Default how much power can be made?

Hi, im Derek and im looking into a LS1 F-body. i have a 96 Mustang with a 2000 5.4L in it that i just swaped in and im looking for more power. i really like the T/As my friend has a Lt1 TA and my othe just got a 00 Z28. and i really want to keep up. i have a few questions. how much power can be made easy? and how much can be made easy and still be legal? i have heard that the GM tranys dont really lose that much power in the A4 forum so what trany do you guys recommend? A4 or M6? and what rear end gears do you guys recomend? i have 3.73s in my mustang. would 4:10s be better or some taller gears like 3:55s or something

You have a 5.4L Stang, can't you make power out of that?
Some of the fastest cars I've seen are 5.0 derivatives.

no its not a 5.0 stroker. its a 5.4 from a 2000 F-150. its just like the 4.6 Sohc just a longer stroke(longer block). so it makes more torque, and there is No after market support like intake manifolds and thats what i need. and i think LS1s are easyer to make more power. i hears that 400 RWHP is not that hard with LS1s but to make 300RWHP on a 4.6s is pritty danm hard. with out getting into the motor.

The M6 puts more power to the ground than the A4. But your decision really relies on what you want to do with the car. The rear gears are also going to depend on your goals for the car.

My buddy has a 5.4 in his T-bird, with an '01 Cobra intake manifold...that thing is sweet.
