t-rex info plz
Sorry to beat a dead horse but............. im thinking of going with a cam very close to this cut. Does it make good power down low? Or is this just a dyno cam? I have seen some good Dyne numbers on this sight but i have not seen any 1/4 miles times. I have a 2000 C5 M6. I plan to do a LS6 intake along with patriot performance springs, pushrods, ls2 timing chain, ls6 oil pump.
I have headers full exhaust gutted cats and vararam intake on the car now, making 342/350. Looking to hit the 400hp mark and a mid to low 11 second pass.

The T-Rex doesn't have much down low, it's a mid-high range cam and good for the 1/4 but as far as in town driving it won't have as much down low as a smaller cam. If you could get your rpm's up then it'll kick like a mule so it's just according to what your looking at doing? Town driving, highway driving, 1/8, 1/4, etc.? It sounds nasty , which is a plus but if your looking for a stoplight to stoplight cam then you might do some more research. It's all in to what your looking for?

well i have a very aggressive driving style. I have the Textrillia clutch right now so a little rpm's on the take off is how i drive (1000-1800) normal take off. I just wana be sure i dont have to be at 4,000RPM'S to start making power.

Seems like every Trex thread, someone is touting the LG cams . With a light enough car, the stock cam will go 10's. I believe an ex-member from here had his car in the 10's several years ago with a small MTI B1 cam for example.
The Trex makes most of its power above 5500 RPM in comparison to some smaller cams. I did a comparison overlay on another thread of my trex and my Tr230, you can do a search if interested. Track results with the same setup (accept the cams) showed I could get a better 60' with the TR230. I gained 2 mph with the trex and netted the same ET with both cams. I will note that I didn't have proper gearing for either cam (3.23). The Trex is an awesome cam, but it is a purpose cam, not a stop light to stop light sit in traffic type of cam, just my opinion.
