A4 H/C setup for 120 trap?
Ok so i just recently purchased a 1998 camaro ss a4 and have kooks 1 7/8 lt's, ory, slp dual dual, fast 90, nw 90, and a few other bolt ons along with a yank ss 3600 converter. Im wondering what is the mildest cam i could run and which heads to go with to trap around 120 na in my full weight ss. I will probably run milled afr's for 11:1 comp but am stuck on how much cam i need or if this is even possible for a car that will be on the street alot and not be a pos to drive?

I was in your shoes 7 months ago. That was my goal mph, it still is. After I put on the 90/90 I hope to acheive it. I would say a cam bigger than a 224/228 .563.(230ish)

It will be harder to hit 120 with an A4 car than a 6-speed. My car goes 12.0@117.5 with just a cam, and thats with a crappy launch. I should be able to reduce my 60's from 1.95 to 1.75 or so with just some practice, and i'm hoping to drop 2-3 tenths and maby pick up that last 2.5 mph
.....but i doubt it

That's a tough goal for full weight unless you are running at ATCO in December. First off, you have a small converter that is a good all around unit, but not a MPH champ like the Yank YTP 4000. Next, what gears do you have and what rpm are you willing to shift at?
I had similar goals and used a similar set up (1 7/8" ORY, cut-out, FAST 90/90), but with 3.73s. I went for a cam that was biased to high rpm power and shifted at 6800+.
AFR's seem to like a mild split, but your exhaust maybe big enough that a single pattern like a 230/230 112 may be enough. Patrick G's Thunder cam would get the job done 231/235 112 (with a big intake lobe). He invested some serious time in tuning and has it running very nicely.
