Default What heads and cam to go with???

What's the best heads & cam package to go with? (best bang for your buck).
Trying to get about 400 to 400 hp range. Trying to see what people have had luck with.
Thank-you in advance.

I'd say the best bang for the buck and one of most powerful easily streetable combinations for a 346 would be Thunder Racing's TRak cam and PRC-ported Dart heads. Very nice combo for not a lot of money.

If your only trying to get 400/400 then just do a cam only setup. The torque won't quite be 400 but some where around 370-380. Then you'll save money on the heads.

We recently tested 5 different sets of heads, 10 camshafts, 3 intakes and 2 sets of headers all on an engine dyno. What we found will surprise everyone. We have some new engineered packages that will blow your mind. They are based around our $999 exchange 5.7 heads, which outpowered the leading aftermarket "205" head. Pretty good bang for the buck for sure. To give you some idea, with these heads, a 220/224 cam and a Fast 90/90 we saw a 115 HP gain over the engine with a LS6 intake and headers. Killer gains for a tiny cam, talk about a drivable combo.

The base engine with headers made 400 HP at the crank, with the heads, cam and intake it made 515 HP and 472 TQ.

Those heads sound pretty badass. I've always liked the TEA line of products. What heads would you recommend for the TRak cam I'm running (233/235, .644"/.598", 112)? I'd like to bump compression a little too. Thanks.

you can hit 400hp with the $849 LS6 heads from TSP or Patriot and a 228 or higher cam

BTW, ignore what I said if you want only 400 hp, if you want 470-480rw, then listen to me.
