Default Extreme Crankshaft Wear!

My crankshaft has extreme wear against the thrust bearing on the number 3 main. Both the bearing and the crankshaft are wornout. Before I removed the crank it had 31 thousandths of endplay instead about 5. The crankshaft is no good and will have the be replaced. The engine only has 60,000 miles on it. Any idea what could cause this?

Did you replace the Pulley on the crank? If so did you tap it with a hammer to get it started?

No it still has the stock pulley on it. I just got the motor and looked through it and saw the wear on the crank. I do not know the history of it, but something was pushing the crankshaft agianst the thrust bearing from the rear.
