What type of lifters?
I am going to be installing my heads here in the next few weeks and was wondering what type of lifters would be best to use? I have heard some bad things about the Comp OE lifters. Any ideas?

From the sound of things it looks like I'll be going with the Mellings. There is no way in hell I am going to spend over $500 on lifters. I have just not heard that many good things about the Comp's.

I'm interested too. I was told by a respected tuner that he recommends either Morel or stock because they don't bleed down like the others (he was mainly talking about both Comp lifters and Crane lifters). I don't know how the Mellings fit into that picture, but would like to know.
However, can someone tell me specifically why the stock lifters aren't good enough? I've done a lot of research into the "sewing machine" noise and almost everyone who has stock lifters report them being quiet.
Thanks
