Is this lifter bad??? 56K Beware!!!
Lots of talk going around on the forum about bad/worn/scored lifter rollers... I have used the MACRO zoom feature on my camera to get as close as I could and still be focused. So it looks much worse in the picture compared to holding it in your hand. Running my fingernail across the roller barely picks up the abrasion...
Is this roller done???

Maybe a sign of a 2001 lifter tray casting #10? Check what the casting mark is on the lifter tray. It seems more and more of these are popping up over time. I just got mine back together after discovering a lifter that was worse than that.

Im glad you decided to pull the heads after seeing your pics. A few of my lifters looked like that but were starting to show little pitting, but nothing like those examples in my other pics that you saw. Like the others say, those are pretty close to pitting. It wouldnt have been long. Chalk up another case of f-13 roller lifter syndrome.

I just went out and checked mine, 3 #14s and 1 #16...
Are the LS2 lifter trays a straight drop-in, no modification required??? Also what is the part #
