Default Final word on dart heads

Hey guys I have been away for a while, and I was wondering what the verdict was on the new Dart heads. Does anyone have any flow #s in them in comparison to other heads(ie patriot, edelbrock, AFR) They are kinda ugly but damn that price is attractive. thanks.

I have the as cast from TSP, the components are high quality and I disassembled and clean them up with some sandpaper rolls and hand sanding/polishing. The valves are drop forged and the PSI beehive springs have titanium retainers and machined locks. For the price, I don't think you can go wrong. There are vendors developing CNC programs for the heads, so if you have the as cast you could always pull them later and get them modified. At least that was the logic I used.

I have been waiting a month for results with the 2.100" intake valves. Do they have preliminary numbers yet? How long did they say until you receive them?

How much lift can the springs that come on the standard 205 Dart handle? I am thinking about a TREX or a TSP MS3 and I was wondering if I would have to change the springs out.

Mine are setup at 1.750 installed height, with a seat pressure of 138#. They are rated for 0.625 lift, but I believe that is at an installed height of 1.800. They are a beehive design, and are nitrided to induce a surface state of compressive stress. Here are the specs on the springs:

Seat pressure: 120 @ 1.800
Open pressure: 360 @ 1.17
Coil bind: 1.1
Spring rate: 384

With an installed height of 1.750, I am 0.100 from coil bind. I don't know what the lift is on the TREX, but hopefully this will help. One other note, the valve train parts weigh in as follows:

Spring: 68 gms
Ti Retainer: 6 gms
Lock: 2 gms
2.05 Intake Valve: 98 gms
Exhaust Valve: 92 gms
