which cam?
is there a cam out there that has a nice old school sound, makes decent power, and doesn't require many other modifications? or is that just wishful thinking? lol. i'm hoping to not have to replace much else except springs. is this possible and if so what cam should i go with?

pretty much any cam you put in will need a retune and aftermarket springs and pushrods.headers and a good catback makes your cam come to life also so i would plan on atleast those mods.

As above stated, tuning is a must for any descent sized cam. However, there are cams out there that are very mild and make good power, a Z06 cam for example (just dont expect 400 rwhp) and will behave just fine with stock tune. Just remember that in order for it to be so mild that noticeable cam lope is sacrificed and so is BIG power. My suggestion is to look into the Crane/ Vince cams, and one of their handhelds with cam profiles already installed....pretty much a plug and go type deal. Not as powerful and as capable as HPtuners or the larger cams, but they are not for everybody im happy with my setup and it makes great power.
