Default new cam question

I have a custom ground fms cam ready to go in sat. I was checking it over and noticed that the journals are perfectly smooth, and the lobes of the cam have almost a texture to them, They arent perfectly smooth like the journals, but they are still smooth. Is there a problem with this brand new cam?

just read the thread with the fms cam pics that messed up the lifters and everything. After reading that Im worried, you can run your fingernail across the lobes and they are kinda "scratchy" whereas the journals are smooth. Is this cam gonna end up like the one in the other thread?

I dunno, from what your describing .. i'd be hesitant to put it in my car. The lobes should be smoother than a babies bottom. Maybe contact futral and see what they say about it. Better to worry about nothing now, than to to be fixing a problem after the fact.
