Default Got my cam, head opinions?

I already have my cam waiting to go in, trying to decide Between AFR and the new Edelbrock heads...i can get them at similiar pricing so thats not really an issue. I'm looking at the 205 size because of my displacement, did a search and didnt find to much on the edelbrock (yes i know there new) AFR's are obviously well proven. I did hear that the edelbrock flowed a few more cfm slightly, but being a new product i dont know if i want to get it and then find out there not so good. Of course im in a semi-rush cause i want to be ready for race season! Any input would be great. Thanks!

What is your cam for starters? What are you wanting to accomplish with the H/C combo? 11's? 225's are now available for a stock CID too.

TSP has some good deals on heads these days you might want to check them out....there are a number of their heads that are showing great flow numbers..

AFR heads are the way to go, but thats a biased opinion lol

I am running stock compression with a nice and thick GM MLS gaskets. I love the heads and they work great with this cam. What really impressed me was the amount of torque I was making and the fact that I think there is still more left in a tune, didnt try to tune it on the dyno yet.

i am slightly leaning towards AFR, but awaiting to see some dyno results of a car having edelbrock heads put on it. My next question would be should i go with 205 heads or 225's ? I heard with 225's you lose a little on stock cubes, is this true? I was thinking just get the 225's now then if i build a bigger motor im all set. Opinions? Thanks!

If you go the AFR route,
Something I didn't realize was that there is 2 style 225's. The first being the 225's big bore, and the second is a small bore. The small bore 225's are the most recent ones to come out. I beleive that Patrick G is running them. If you do a search, his results show no loss in bottom end power or torque. He actualy saw a gain of like 5 rwtq and 10 rwhp over the 205's. I think it was all top end gain though. Do the search so you can see for yourself, and call AFR up they'll tell you what you need.
