when to get new lifters?
well i have a decent sized cam in my car 228/232 .588/.575 113lsa and i have noticed some of these other threads of similar cams with lifter issues. i have stock lifters in my car and only about 41k miles on the original stock short block...what yall think?

Get preload right and you'll be fine. But that is really important.
i had 60K miles and 3 cams (XE-R) on mine before i finally swapped to 850-16 during head swap.
I recommend 7.425 p-rods if your heads are unmilled or (less than .010) with stock gaskets.

heads are milled ~.033 with a stock gm mls gasket. went with a stock PR length and shimmed the rocker out. But that could be changing since its being rebuilt..gotta talk to my uncle (guy who is building it)
