Default Corvette Ls1 differences from T/A Ls1

I thought this might be the more appropiate place to put this seeing as it's the LS1 section.......just a few questions!

So I may have found a corvette Ls1 for a really really really sweet deal. It's stock and has about 30,000 on the clock. My question is i was looking for a Trans Am Ls1 but is the Corvette LS1 have a different setup? I know it may have a different cam, but like how about the position of the alternator etc. Will I be able to do this in my 96' Trans Am (fitting it in) Any insight would be awesome and don't post in here just to say i'm an idiot for wanting to do this. Thanks!

The c5 accessories sit about 3/4 of an inch closer to the block just about everything is different....Or I just wasted a ton of money buying c5 parts for my ls1 s10. If you have any more questions try the conversion and hybrid section, lots of good info

I'm not sure if it would work but i've often wondered this. It will give you better clearance in front of the motor, which is why most people use them in conversions

The alternator and power steering are mounted differently than the WS6. You should be able to reconfigure using your WS6 brackets or just swap out the WS6 and Corvette alternator/powersteering units.... the blocks should have the same mounting holes. I have an LS6 block from a Corvette in my SS HAD NO ISSUES with making it work.

P.S. You'll need the WS6 oil pan assembly and dipstick as well.
