Default Can heads ever flow too much?

Lets say you take an entirely stock LS1 and just put HUGE mega flowing heads on it. What happens? Obviously you won't get gains past a certain point, but are there actually adverse affects from a head that has "too much flow" for the cam?

Its a balancing act. If you open up the port volume and velocity drops, it kills your torque, even though it may flow more and make more HP up top.

here's one reason I ask. I can get new heads for $900 that are LS6 CNCed heads, or I can buy some used stage 2 heads for the same price here in the for sale section. The cam that they recommended for my taste is a 224/224 112. Is would there be any adverse effects to using a stage 2 head with that cam?
