Those copper gaskets are good. Your bigger issue may be head bolts. With the nitrous you probably should install aftermarket head bolts or studs like ARP.

Either the Titan sce gaskets, or cometic head gaskets. You need a smaller quench with nitrous motors so I would suggest a .040" compressed thickness gasket.

this threads about a month old, so im bringing it back up because I'm also tring to decide on which head gaskets to go with, its for a forged 382 ci thats gonna see a lot of nitous.

I've seen a couple of other threads talking about the titan gaskets, but it seems like not to many people have used them yet. so i don't know if it can even justify the extra $ or hell, even if they are the same price are they even better than GM MLS?

Thanks in advance for any input.

My buddy did gm mls on a 382ci with a 300 shot. I'll let you know how it holds up. It worked fine with the 200 shot for a season with those gaskets. We used some copper spray on the current ones to help with any sealing issues.

Im using them with the integral o-rings and ARP studs. No problems although I'm not running any nitrous yet. I did re-torque twice FWIW. Those gaskets cost $189 through JEGs.

SCE Titan will not blow. I blew a forged piston before the gasket.

Do you need to groove and o-ring your motor for the SCE titans though? I remeber there being a good reason why people didnt want to run them on the street.

Not for the ICS version. Although I am pretty sure their regular titans, you do as they are just copper gaskets like any other.

Since the o-rings are internal to the gasket, there's no need for o-ring groves in the block. The edge of the combustion area of the gasket is split and the steel ring is inserted and then it looks to me that the gasket is ran through a roller to bring it to the desired thickness over the ringed area.

felpro has a new 4 layer MLS gasket out that has been tested in some high (2000) hp applications, There in the procees of doing some ls1 testing they have an adhesive already on them to help sealing. I have had good luck with the cometics, I also have a set of the titans at home but I may try these felpro even tho the felpro blue 1041's are
