Default LS6 or TB or both?

I've been emailing Brian at TSP so much lately I thought I'd give him a break and ask here.

The Car - 99 TA, 6spd, Mac headers & borla, free ram air mod, SSRA, slp lip.

Ordered the HO SLP ram air hood. Looking to put 4.10 gears in it and go with the 228/228 112 lsa cam from tsp.

My question is what is the risk vs. reward of going with the ls6 manifold or with a 90mm TB.

Would it be worth it to go ahead and get them now to be put in with the cam and gears.. Should I do one rather than the other?

Would getting the LS6 intake and keeping the stock TB be robbing the car of what it needs? Or should it be fine?

Thanks..

when u say 90mm throttle body to mean getting the FAST 90mm intake as well? I'm assuming so, with your current setup I would think an LS6 intake w/ a ported t/b would be enough, if you plan on going bigger down the road (h/c, FI, bigger cubes etc) Then you could go ahead and get the FAST intake now.

my car had a stock cam... put down 307 with just no cats and lid. I added LT's/ORY/SD TUNE/ a 226/226 114 cam and made 368..... i then installed a S3 TB and LS6 intake and made 380..... so the TB and LS6 are worth about 12whp.... does this answer your question??

Yea that helps. No I dont have any big future plans. Just was curious if I should get the LS6 and TB to finish the set-up. As for the 90mm TB, I wasn;t sure if the LS6 intake fit with the stock TB or not..

Looks like that SLP package deal on the LS6 isnt a bad deal.. hehe.

Thanks

get the ls6 intake then just have ur stock throttle body ported, there is sponsors on here that do it for $75 i believe. A 90mm throttle wont fit on a ls6 intake unless u have the opening on the intake ported as well, and i dont think it would be worth the money...
